She is a seven-time winner of the Excellence in Design Awards from the American Society of Interior Designers from both the Illinois and Indiana chapters. Her firm’s work has earned the Best of Houzz Award for ten consecutive years. The firm was also awarded high marks for their Vignette at the River North Design District (RNDD) Gallery Walk 2024.

We were honored to be referred once again by our longtime collaborators, A. Perry Homes, to help this family bring their new custom residence to life. From the earliest stages of planning, we worked closely with the homeowners to curate every interior and exterior detail - from architectural finishes to material selections - ensuring the design reflected their vision for a modern yet timeless family home.
Clean architectural lines, enduring finishes, and durable materials were key to creating a space that supports the rhythm of a young family of four. The finished home strikes a thoughtful balance between sophistication and comfort—beautifully tailored for both everyday living and effortless entertaining.

YAMINI DESIGNS CREATES A “SAFARI SOIREE” FOR THE RIVER NORTH DESIGN DISTRICT’S 2024 GALLERY WALK AND WINS 1st PLACE FOR SHOWCASE DESIGN BY THE ASID ILLINOIS CHAPTER
Yamini Designs was honored to be invited for the third time to create design vignettes for the 2024 River North Design District Gallery Walk benefiting Humble Design and Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation. This time around, we were asked to create the concept and the visuals for the highly attended Gallery Walk After Party, which was held at the Lightology showroom in Chicago. Yamini, in collaboration with Interiors By Francesca and Alma Art and Interiors designed spaces rich with color and texture evoking the mood of an electric forest. The “Safari Soriee” was celebrated with live drummers, bespoke cocktails, and came alive with art, design, and lighting that evoked the magic of the wild. This project won 1st place for ASID Illinois’s 2025 Design Excellence Awards in the Showcase Space category.
